POD #5: CLOSEOUT PART 1

Los Angeles, CA -- On Wednesday, March 23, CAUSE held the fifth pod meeting of the 2022 CAUSE Leadership Institute virtually on Zoom. Pod meetings are a newly developed component of the program that focuses on building community among the cohort and deepening conversations.

Pod meeting 5 marks the halfway point through the program. To celebrate this milestone, fellows were given a virtual whiteboard to share more about their experiences thus far including lessons learned and highlights. Along with recognizing these peaks, fellows provided recommendations, feedback, and hopes for the second half of the program.

Not only did the fellows reflect and envision the future, but they also took the next steps to level up their civic engagement by choosing one of three civic engagement pathways: Running for Office, Serving on a Campaign, and Serving on a Non-profit Board. Fellows will explore their selected pathways for the remainder of the pod meetings, gaining tangible skills, and connecting with experts in the field.

QUOTES:

“The need to do more in our AAPI communities. The need to continue working together. Not in silos. To support each other. To ensure our representation.”
